I'm so glad to be a part of the amazing choir at The First Presbyterian Church In The City of New York. The choir will be singing my composition "Be Still" along with much stunning music at the Good Friday service this week, starting at noon, Friday, April 3.
I was thrilled to have the chance to orchestrate music for the concert One Night Only: Sutton Foster with the New York Pops, at Carnegie Hall, on lucky Friday, March 13! I'm really glad that there is video of some excerpts from the concert at Playbill.com. On this clip below, you can hear parts of three songs I orchestrated: "Sunshine On My Shoulders," "Let It Sing" (from Violet), and "Anyone Can Whistle":
On the following clip, there are more excerpts from her performance, ending with my orchestration of "Being Alive" (at around 3'04").
So grateful for this amazing opportunity.
Jessica Fleitman and I have been commissioned by JCP Downtown in Tribeca, NYC to write a new Purim Shpiel - children's musical. It's in rehearsals now and will be performed March 1, at 1pm, at Citigroup, 388 Greenwich Street, NYC. Should be really fun! This is the first posting in the news page/blog. More to come! |
